Pretty cool

I'd just like to say that even though the game is a little hard on the eyes, it is fun to play... I found myself thinking ugh... not another crap-game... But I couldn't pull myself away until level 16.

All in all, not bad, but you could use some updated actionscript to make it more random, possibly add in a cheap AI. And using a better graphic for the boxes would be nice.

My action script is slowly improving as time goes on.

I don't want to return to this series until I feel I've proven myself with other stuff, but when I do, it will definitely have AI. (only on some levels though)

I'll probably stick with ultra-simple graphics, but I'm sure they could be a bit 'cleaner' and better even with that in mind.

Glad you enjoyed it despite disapproving of the graphics I used.

But other than that, this is just a hack. And not a very thorough one at that. Just for the record, how much of the coding is yours?

See, if you are going to post my review to one of your movies as your review to one of my movies, you should make sure it's appropriate. This doesn't even have an intro. And if was gonna hack someone else's fla why would I choose to hack on which is incomplete? Hell, lets follow your line of thought, I'll just hack into DomoKun Angry Smash Fest and change it to DomoKun Angry Hash Fest by changing some of the objects in the game to marijuana leaves and adding a scene where two of the characters talk about drugs.

Out of interest, one of my other games is a hack - a hack of this. Yep, I basically changed all the graphics to this and called it something different (I abandoned this version and any work I do on the game is done with the other version). But guess what? 100% of the coding is still mine.

So you lose.

it needs to be a bit more control-responsive, and the airplane sometimes ends up flying sideways, wings ground-to-sky. Also, the black line spitting the bg isn't too attractive.
Maybe you should change it to being a vertically scrolling shooter... like 1942 or Tigershark. You could modify whatever routines you use for altitude to work for that, and it might help with thesideways airplane bug. Also, it's a little too hard to kill the bad guys. You should consider making them a little easier to defeat. And missiles didn't always launch, which didn't help with killing the baddies.

On the other hand, you've put a lot of work into this, and I don't just have critisizms. The settings and controls were well thought out, and it worked, and it was amusing, and while obviously far from complete, it didn't make me feel like I wasted my time. Which is more than most movies I see here end up doing for me.
Keep working on it, it has real promise.

Thanks for the criticisms, I`ll see what I can do about the problems you mentioned asap. I don`t think I`ll change the game format, because I would end up throwing a lot of my work away.

That sucked

That was Clock Crew quality. if you're going to make fun of the clocks, at least try to rise above their skill level.

For future refrence, in the "hit" frame of a button, fill all of the spaces you want to make mouse-reactive.

All in all, not too bad for a freshman attempt.
